Pool Nerds continues to install Madimack heat pumps as its major selling brand of heating systems.
Which heating is best for your pool?
There are many things to consider when weighing up heating for your pool. What's the best type for you: gas, solar or electric inverter heat pump? What output do you need for your size of pool? How much sun does your pool get?
Pool Nerds will always fully consult with you onsite to fully understand your needs. A detailed quotation is then provided with a consolidated pool heating report, tailored to your property and needs.
Madimack inverter heat pumps are often the solution of choice for Pool Nerds, therefore being our best selling heating product.
Madimack's InverELITE V3 delivers better airflow, higher efficiency, quieter operation and performance and is the perfect choice for space saving options for Australian backyards.

Pool Nerds is proud to be the preferred installer for Bionizer chlorine-free systems in Sydney and surrounds
Pool owners are increasingly looking for pool sanitation options that are chlorine free or low on chemical use. This growing trend is not only for environmental reasons, but also from a general new awareness of organic products and the need to minimize harsh chemicals that impact pool owners' health and that of their family.
More people are searching for pool solutions that are safe for children prone to asthma or allergies. Bionizer has made it its mission to provide as many people as possible with the best low-chemical solution for their pool, their family and the planet.
Pool Nerds just installed another chlorine-free system from Bionizer, this time down in Coogee! The next one will be done this week on the central coast. Yep, they’re keeping me busy!
Customer
W family, Palm Beach
Background
The W family’s house in Palm Beach was beautiful – a real entertainer. But the huge front deck area used for barbecues, parties, breakfasts and dinners was too small. Why? Because the pool pump, filtration & sanitisation equipment took up almost a half of the area. Crazy design!
Solution
Dave recommended that all the pumps, filtration & sanitisation equipment be re-plumbed to an alternative area of the property, well away from the entertainment area.
Outcome
After a few days’ work, all of the pump, filtration & sanitisation equipment was re-deployed at the rear of the property, allowing the entertainment area to be resized. It’s now a much larger and more comfortable area and it’s added value to the property!
Customer
S family, Avalon
Background
Mrs S and family wanted to use the pool more often, but it was never warm enough. It’s just in one of those positions that means it doesn’t get enough natural heat. The solar heating works OK, but it’s not enough
Solution
After consultation with Mrs S, Pool Nerds recommended a 280 Mj heater to kick in when the solar was not cutting the mustard!
Outcome
The S family now enjoy their pool much more regularly. The last birthday party was a big hit with all the kids – they’d never had a pool party before!
Customer
Mrs G, Elanora
Background
Mrs G was tearing her hair out with the poor service she was receiving from her previous pool care company. The pool kept going green with algae and it needed fixing! They clearly couldn’t deal with the problem.
Solution
A full vacuum of all surfaces was initially required to rid the pool of algae. This was done via the waste line (not the filter!) The pool was then properly balanced with the correct chemicals.
That was half the battle. But what was causing the problem? The next stage involved a full assessment of the pool equipment. Pool Nerds found that the sanitising system was not functioning properly and, after consultation with the customer, a new salt/mineral chlorinator was recommended.
Outcome
After installing a new salt/mineral chlorinator Mrs G now has a healthy and clean pool that she, and the grandchildren, can enjoy for years to come. Pool Nerds now maintains Mrs G’s pool on a regular basis.
Customer
Bruce & Judy H, Palm Beach
Background
Bruce & Judy H wanted to convert their pool to a wet-edge style. They had the right pool but the plumbing was all wrong and their previous pool service company didn't know how to fix it.
Solution
We knew what to do. We emptied the pool ready for the painters to work their magic, then set to work re-plumbing the entire system to enable the wet-edge feature. New safety-focused plumbing and valves, plus a new salt/mineral chlorinator for an invigorating, healthy swim.
Outcome
We finished the job on time, ready for re-filling ready for Christmas Day! How's this for an inspirational pool! Another happy Pool Nerds customer!
